Youth and adult sponsors will live out their Christian faith next month as they participate in their summer mission trip. To raise money for this trip, the youth have already participated in several fund raising efforts. To help raise the rest of the money needed for this mission project, the youth are issuing stock certificates in the mission trip. One share of stock (you determine the "price") entitles the stockholder to the undying gratitude of the youth. Stock certificates are being sold throughout the month of May.
The Frenchy Burke Festival will take place in the Lytle City Park on the evening of May 18 and all day Saturday, May 19, and many members of our church are involved in the organization of this event. Our youth will again be selling hamburgers at the festival as a fundraiser, and Living Dust will be playing. Members of the church will be handing out evangelism tracts at the event and if you would like to help, please talk to any member of the Outreach Team.
A Zumba Fitness Class will meet on Thursdays in the fellowship hall from 6 to 7 PM. Zumba is the largest dance fitness program in the world and uses latin-inspired dance music videos for a very fun class.
A mix of men and women, including the pastor, meet each week for this wonderful exercise class. Held in the fellowship hall from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. This class is led by a Wesley nurse provided by Methodist Healthcare Ministries and stationed at Devine UMC. She also sticks around after the class on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month to anwer health related questions and to provide resources. Everybody is welcome!

The In-Reach Team is working to set up "Connect Groups" within our church of around eight people each, with a facilitator. The purpose of these groups is to help the church be better aware of what is going on in the lives of our family, that we may be in prayer for all, and be able to assist in ways that would be helpful.
The church has two ministry teams: the Outreach team and the In-Reach team. The In-Reach team is responsible for worship, member nurture, member connection, and member discipleship (education and other programs to help our members grow in their Christian maturity). The Outreach team is responsible for member evangelism training, all Outreach programs (mission orientated and evengelism oriented), and world missions and evangelism. Having these two teams balances the "outreach" and "in-reach" functions of the church, and allows the church staff to provide leadership for both teams. The Outreach and In-Reach teams meet once a month on separate Tuesday evenings, so church folks can be on both teams if they desire. Please consider being part of one of these teams.
At IncrediWorld, we give God the glory for who He is and what He had made and the children will be amazed to discover the incredible design features in animals that showcase the handiwork of the Creator! Of course, the most important reason we want to encourage kids to trust the Bible is so that they'll embrace the salvation message woven throughout each book. VBS, will take place during the mornings, Monday through Friday, from July 16 to 20. They need lots of help, so set these days aside on your calendar, and keep this important ministry in your prayers. It's excitement galore as we head to IncrediWorld Amazement Park, where kids take a thrill ride through God's creation. So strap yourself in and get ready for the ride of your life.
The Outreach Team is putting together a community yard sale at the church as a way to connect the church to the community. The yard sale will be in the front yard and in the parking lot, and people will be given a marked off area for free for the day. The church will privide music and free hotdogs for shoppers and vendors. Please help us to get the word out by picking up a flyer at church to post anywhere. If you have any ideas to make this event a great success, please talk to any member of the Outreach Team.
Promotion Sunday is the day all of the children and youth of our church officially move up to the next grade level in our Sunday School program. We will celebrate this event during the worship services as we hand out Bibles, promotion cerificates and stickers. The children will be heading to McDonald's during Sunday school for a breakfast celebration. Parents, be sure to bring your children on this important Sunday.
